The 23-year-old policeman, Constable Amos Niganoka Mattey who was reportedly knocked and killed by Aduana Stars defender Farouk Adams would be buried in Tamale on April 17, 2021.
According to the family, the requiem service would take place at the Spring of Life Assemblies of God Church in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital.
Constable Amos Niganoka Mattey of Wamfie Police Station on March 1, 2021 was reportedly run over by a private vehicle belonging to the footballer at his duty post.
He died on the spot and his body was deposited at the Dormaa Presby Hospital.
The footballer was arrested and has been charged on about six counts including – careless and inconsiderate driving and negligently causing harm.
The Berekum Circuit Court has since granted him bail in the sum of Gh¢ 60,000 with four sureties.
The 31-year-old joined Aduana Stars from Elmina Sharks in January 2018 on a two-year deal and only recently extended his contract in January 2021 for a further year.
