Police officer by name Supritendent Robert Cobby who come from Gomoa Kyiren in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region but currently works at Sefwi Asewinso Police Custody has allegedly exhumed and runway with over 10 dead bodies skeletons who died untimely as a result of Accident at Gomoa Fawomaye Cemetory.
In an Press Conference organized by the angry Chief’s and Residents of Gomoa Fawomaye in the Gomoa West where the incidents took place,the Odikro of the area Nana Okofo Kwakye Abeka Acquah III addressing the media said the police officer who is not from their community intentionally come to them and informed them that he want land to to his business on and according to the Chiefs they told him that there is no land in the place.
So later according to the Chiefs wake up in the morning only to see that all their Cemetory has been demolished by the police officer.
Inspections made by the Chief’s,Elders, Residents and media indicated they over 10 dead bodies skeletons has been missing allegedly to have stolen by the police officer for either Sakawa or Spiritual use.
The area exhumed all the graves and found out that bodies of those who died untimely as a result of Accident has been missing.
And according to the angry Chief’s,they are given the police officer one week to return all the dead bodies he took away else they will to a massive demonstration against him and also send him to court.
According to the Chief’s,the Police officer has also destroyed the only Cemetory the community is depending on which has caused a totally disgraced to the people of Gomoa Fawomaye.
The exhumed of the dead bodies will also caused serious implications to the community spiritual so they have performed libations to apologized to their ancestors for forgiveness.
The assemblyman for the area also added his voice condemning the act.
Some of the family whose relatives dead bodies skeletons has been stoled by the alleged Police Officer also showed their concern about the incident.
According to them,they need their dead bodies immediately from the police officer for it’s a total disgraced to them.
According to the angry Resident,they appealed to the Inspector General of Police James Oppong Boanuh to come into their aid for the police officer is threatening thier life which has made the live in fear in Panic in the Gomoa Fawomaye ant it environment.
Lastly,in a via phone call of the police also said,they the Chief’s and Elders of the Community don’t accord with him should send the incidents to court.
